Outside the train window, you watch the scenery pass by – undulating telephone cables, rows of nameless buildings, shape-shifting landscapes. Graffiti, people, signposts and greenery all blend into each other, swirling along to the rhythm of the train. Without knowing it, you’ve stopped looking at anything. You’ve wandered off somewhere else – another time, another possibility, another you. Or perhaps you went nowhere at all, floating mid-air where time and place are no longer. When you fall back into your seat, you’ve lost your train of thought. You look outside, and you’re already somewhere else a hundred miles away.
